How Long Do You Want It to Last?
An in-ground pool can last up to 10 years before they need to be resurfaced. If they’re resurfaced when required and taken care of, an in-ground pool can last well over 50 years.
With excellent maintenance and care, an above-ground pool may last up to 25 years. That being said, it’s more likely to last about 10 to 15 if it’s made with the best materials and is maintained properly.
Some people aren’t ready to make the commitment of installing an in-ground pool. If that’s the case, an above-ground one is the way to go.

If you have small children, opting for an above-ground pool may be the safer option. Because of the wall barrier and the stairs required to enter the pool, some statistics show that the chance of drowning in an above-ground pool is less likely.
That being said, there are many more in-ground pools across America than above-ground pools, so the results may not be entirely accurate. Do You Care About the Features?
